**Information supplied by current owner**
We only run 6061 aluminum in our shop, we recycle about 975,000 lbs of 6061 aluminum per year, most of that poundage runs through this machine and compacts the aluminum into a puck. Our current price we receive for aluminum is around .057 / .060 per pound for chips but increases close to $1 for pucks. So the payback can be quick if you have the poundage.
Process:
1. Load a bin of chips into the end of machine
2. Using hydraulics, the bin is tipped into the hopper.
3. Turn the machine to auto and the augers from the hopper to the shredder begin to turn
4. chips are processed thru shredder into another auger under it
5. Chips are then augered to the gather bin
6. from gather bin they feed down by gravity into puck tooling
7. Pucks are compressed
8. Completed pucks are then pushed onto a conveyor belt and fed into another bin
